The compact city of Hull covers just short of 28 square miles.  Our practices cover a total patient population of just under 300,000 and vary from small single-handed surgeries to much larger multi-site practices.  Investment via the LIFT programme means that the city has benefitted from several new large, purpose-built health centres such as Wilberforce Health Centre and Elliott Chapell Health Centre.

The city faces a number of significant health inequalities.  The goal of eradicating these inequalities provides a focus and challenge for GPs and practice teams looking for opportunities to explore new approaches and ways of working.
